EAR Butare Diocese
The Diocese of Butare, established in 1975, is one of the 13 dioceses of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. It oversees 139 local churches, organized into 32 parishes, which are further grouped into six archdeaconries. And it has played a key role in the creation of three other dioceses; Cyangugu, Kigeme, and Shyogwe. The diocese operates across three administrative districts in the Southern Province of Rwanda: Huye, Gisagara, and Nyanza. The diocesan services include various departments, such as Evangelism and Discipleship, the Mothers' Union, Education, and Community Transformation Programs/Projects, as well as Finance. Additionally, we run small income-generating projects to support the mission of the Church (Shalom Guest House, and Nehemiah Coffee shop)
